The ultimate Halloween is all about fear and fright, blood and gore, the grotesque and horrific; all in good fun of course. If you want to join in the fun in a big way, then a scary Halloween mask is almost compulsory.

The question then is: what sort of Halloween mask? In fact, there are quite a wide range of scary Halloween masks available in the marketplace, so you should not have too much trouble finding a mask that frightens the costumes of some of your fellow party goers. Below are just a few ideas.

Bloody Scary Halloween Masks

If you want a bit of (fake) blood on the Halloween party scene, then one of the best places to have it is on a scary mask. In the best traditions of horror masks, a few streaks of blood can make all the difference to the effect your mask has on others.

It is difficult to imagine anything more scary than a corpse coming at you in the dark. More so with a screaming corpse, as portrayed by the latex mask shown above left. With the exposed skull bone, remnants of a bloody hue, and the stretched skin look, this could be one of the scariest masks around on Halloween.

A bloody scary Halloween mask could be just the image you want for a horror filled Halloween party.

Devil Scary Halloween Masks

The devil plays an integral part in Halloween, the evil in the fight between good and evil. If you want to be on the side of evil, or at least have an image makeover for a few hours, then a devil mask can create a scary interlude for those around you.

The devil mask pictured (left) is called Fearsome Faces Devil Mask. It features large pointed ears, sharp and lethal looking lower fangs, the mandatory devil horns, goatee beard, and long flowing black hair. Go on....be a devil! You can revert to being the nice, charming, handsome good guy after the Halloween party.

Vampire Scary Halloween Masks

The other stars of Halloween are vampires. The vampire has long been a scary star of horror movies, so vampires come into their own at Halloween. Vampire Halloween masks are a great choice for a scary Halloween, and they are quite easy to find. The example we have here (left) is the impressive Vampire Demon mask. This one is hand painted, so each mask is unique, and finely detailed. Judging by the bloody fangs, this one has just fed, but on Halloween it is time for vampires to cause mayhem.
